had a great birthday celebration actually, had dinner at asianstyle a malaysian restaurant and went clubbing at Ashton Lane......the liquor lane in university place hehehe......so drunk when we went home......

tell u ppl one thing, the bars are nicer here, when they say drinking they strictly meant drinking and no smoking so the atmosphere was very good and pleasant....come la......will bring you all there....hehe

and guess wat?...i am the vice president for GUMS - Glasgow university malaysian society.......hahahahahah....


oh yaz...shirley and hp and ks, i have booked air tickets for 18.12.06 and 21.12.06. so i see u ppl there la....my tix are priced 24.90 pounds i think quite worth it....

wah me again. what happened to all the IMU and monash people ar? i'm beginning to agree that only the UK-Ireland branch is active lah!! anyway, just a little note to say if you're interested in seeing pictures of my friends here, please proceed to my personal journal. there's a link on the sidebar...go there. but since i'm sooOoOOoo nice, as you all know, i'll put a link here.

other notes: sinyee, i'm kinda busy these 2-3 weeks so if you wanna come over, it'll have to be end of october after my formative exam. i know you very free...3 1/2 days of class only per week. hahaha.

suying: i've got jay's new album!! hahahhaa i purposely asked a friend to send the songs to me just cuz i wanna expand my collection k!! there're nice songs lah...i like qian li zi wai...but i think november's chopin nicer. =P

erm erm erm...nothing much to say i guess. getting quite cold here, autumn after all...oh yes, happy belated mid-autumn/mooncake day to you all! i had mooncake k! and i saw the moon last night, apparently the biggest moon you'll see in 9 years so to those who missed it, wait la another 9 years. and to all those currently suffering from the effects of haze in KL and singapore, the air is really so clean and fresh here in edinburgh. MWAHAHA. XD

So far its just orientation cos its just the 1st day of uni. Uni is rather small, but its ok. Accommodation is rather dissapointing for the price i'm paying. My twin room is facing the bloody street. Where you can see bloody lots of people and cars/trucks/tractors/anything else possible. And they can look back at you too.Ceh.

Kean sheen's one is not so bad cos he's on d upper floor...

Lotsa msians here right now........it seems like its 1/3 msians, 1/3 middle east, 1/3 sumtin else. Irish are a minority here......

Got a more diverse culture here, and seniors here are nice.At the moment. Lol...

Buildings here are also quite short, something to do with the soil.

And grocery shopping here is bloody horrible to do.

You stand there and you stone. THOUSANDS of prices and brands to choose from.Gosh.

But it will get better in time...

Two Showers and A Scrubdown Later...

Hi there, Kenn here!

Well, first thing I want to say is that Sin Yee and YunYi's unis are quite different in terms of the Malaysian population there. There're 7 or 9 girls here (all from MARA) and another 4 guys (including myself) though I'm the only self-sponsored Medic here so feel kind of left out. Hang out with the guys quite a bit as well as the other Malaysians and the ang mohs too. Oh, and I joined the Malaysian Society here, hope you guys have too. May meet you guys come Nottingham Games?

Anyway, feeling exhausted today since it was my first full day and of all things, it was dissection. It was quite fun though as we got to do it ourselves while the profs simply sat back and watched. Nonetheless, it was quite tiring too as I spent an hour cleaning superficial fascia (those of you who've already started Anatomy will know what I'm talking about) from Dead Dolly since she's a little on the plus-size side. And yes, my group actually named our cadaver! Oh and a warning to those going into the dissection: spending 9-to-5 in the dissection room will make your hair and everything smell of formaldehyde!!

Anyway, got to go now; have to finish my dissection report. Oh and Sin Yee, my MSN's kenn_lck@hotmail.com. And to all those staying for X'mas, have fun. Won't get to join you since I'm heading home for the break. Though, we might meet during Easter though. =)

how is everybody doing...

i am doing good in glasgow.........but the accent is so difficult to grasp....as usual we tend to mix more with the malaysians and singaporeans.....there are only 5 malaysian here including me, and about 8 singaporeans. among the 13, only 3 are girls.....very different from the situation in edinburgh....
yunyi you gotta tell me when u are free so i can make arrangements to go visit you...

apparently the pbl way of studying is very laid back......so i can pop around you ppl's places once in a while...hehe do tell me yea...

to hong ping...how are u in king's how u liking london....full of life ar....hehehe

any of you all have any plans for christmas?

i have about 10 minutes to spare so this is going to be short. anyway, just wanna say welcome to all the new imports to the UK and to those who are still back home (where it's warm and sunny unlike here), miss you all loads!!

to all those who have been worrying about me and whether i've found friends (*coughhancough*), i'm fine here. basically hang out with all the malaysians...btw there are 8 malaysian med students here...but all also guys wan. and only 1 other girl. but no matter. and keansheen, if you're reading this, your neighbour cho ee is here too. and he bullies me cuz of my height. so bad. =P

besides that, the singaporeans are really nice too. AND they're mostly girls so can bershopping together. i've picked up singaporean slang words already...and they're learning basic malay from me. hahah mutualism. maybe i'll upload photos some other time...cuz right now i'm in a rush. =P

to fabian, i've met your sis rachel here quite a few times, she's been really nice and helpful...as well as keep telling me to chill...haha runs in the family i think. and to kenn, i've met your sis too...i think i've mentioned it to you before. i think i'll go steal a microbiology textbook off her. to hongping, i've met mitchell finally...but he doesn't remember you. hahhaha sorry lah who asked you to leave banting so early? i made the mistake of telling him that you remember him so now he thinks he's so famous. =.=

erm...what else? studies here are quite tough...the lectures go really fast so have to actually come back and study every day, not used to it lah. oh to sin yee, good luck with glasgow man...full PBL, i don't know how you're going to do it. hahaha and if you ever meet a malaysian guy there called justin, i know him cuz he's like permanently attached to edinburgh (girlfriend studying here, what to do. =P)

to all the people i owe mails to...i'm so sorry i haven't been replying...i really haven't had the time to type mails. need alot of time wan k...don't play. but well, i guess that's all for now. oh yes, one more thing, i've contracted the "freshers' flu" and it's been going on for more than a week now...bad blocked nose and cough, and my voice sounds weird. so yeah, i think i'm going to have to see doctor here.

okaylah gotta run now. i'm going to church and i don't want to be late. last week i had to run to catch the bus. in the rain k. =P see ya...all the best to everyone!
