Easter Holidays

Attention all European PM3-ians!

Kenn here. I've been talking with HP and we think we should try to get together somewhere during the Easter hols. So far, we've come up with Amsterdam, possibly for a few days between 2nd to 15th of April (the dates are my idea). What do you guys think? Any ideas? Post your ideas here and hopefully, we'll see each other come Easter break!

Kenn

P.S.: S.E. Asian PM3-ians invited to Amsterdam too =P

Hi again. Did some checking up on where to stay in Amsterdam and Lonely Planet suggested the Flying Pig. It's a group of backpackers hostel, two in downtown Amsterdam and another at the beach. There's a shuttle bus service between the hotels.

So, I thought we could either have a beach holiday with one or two downtown day trips (45 minutes away) or a half city, half beach holiday.

Prices are between 13.90 (dorm bed) to 36.90 (twin room) at the downtown hostel. The other two places are a little cheaper.

The website is: http://www.flyingpig.nl/

Me again. If you guys don't want the beach bit, you guys might not want to stay at the Flying Pig on the grounds that it's been said to be slightly dirty and has been known to be a wee bit 'dodgy' (in the ganja way) at times. But people still say it's a fun, relaxed place.

If anyone has an issue with this, please mention. http://www.hostelbookers.com seems to be a good place to search for hostels.

As for where to meet up, the easiest would be to try and travel to Amsterdam and meet up at the airport it's a central hub, so flights there shouldn't be a problem. Of course, we can try to meet up somewhere first but that would mean extra flights for people not in the British mainland.

Oh yeah, just found an interesting, non-flight route to Amsterdam. http://www.seat61.com/Netherlands.htm shows how we can travel to Amsterdam by rail or by ferry. The overnight ferry sounds fun but is also a wee bit pricey at about 60 quid each way.
